Pip.

Pip, a small friend

"Pip is small, quiet, and notices things other people miss."

Pip is just Pip.

When we started thinking about Tiny Voyageurs, we knew we needed a character at the centre of it. Not a mascot, not a logo. Someone children could believe in.

Pip embodies what we hope our own daughter, and every small explorer, carries with them: a quiet curiosity, an appetite for noticing things, and the patience to discover places slowly. Pip is small, deliberately. A teacup-sized creature who carries a soft bag and gathers one small thing from each country.

Pip is made up. Not a bird, not a rabbit, not any animal you would find in a book. Pip is just Pip. We did this on purpose. Children fill in the rest themselves, and we think that's a more beautiful thing than us deciding for them.

Where Pip lives

The Reading Nook, somewhere quiet.

Pip lives in a small wooden room with a desk, a chair slightly too big, and a window that looks out onto whichever country the workbook is about. Shelves hold the small things Pip has collected: a fern from New Zealand, a cherry blossom from Japan, an edelweiss from Switzerland.

The Reading Nook stays the same. The view changes.

When your child draws, Pip writes back.

step one

The first letter arrives by post

A real postcard, mailed to your home, from Pip to your child. Their first piece of correspondence.

step two

Your child sends a drawing

A photograph of their drawing, emailed to pip@tinyvoyageurs.com or ship to us by post.

step three

Pip writes back

A personal reply with one specific thing Pip noticed about what they drew. Slowly, with care.

Who made this.

We are Keerthi and Aashish. We've been making things together for years, mostly visual stories about travel, through our other project Whimsical Voyageurs.

When our older daughter Samaya started getting old enough to ask real questions about the world, we found ourselves wanting something better to give her. Tiny Voyageurs is what we made. Pip is the friend we built into it.
