How Tiny Voyageurs came to be.

We are Keerthi and Aashish. We have been making things together for years, mostly visual stories about travel, through our other project Whimsical Voyageurs.

When our older daughter Samaya started getting old enough to ask real questions about the world, we found ourselves wanting something better to give her. We were about to take her to New Zealand. She was old enough to be curious, too young to be told everything at once. We looked for something to give her, a real workbook that would help her arrive at the country already in love with it. Nothing we found felt like what we wanted.

So we started making it ourselves. The first kit was for our daughter, before our trip. Then five other children we know got copies. Then we realised this could be something for other families too.

Pip came along as we were designing the kit. We knew we needed a character at the centre of it. Not a mascot, not a logo. Someone children could believe in. Pip is who we made.

Tiny Voyageurs is a small business we are building slowly. We want it to be the kind of brand your child remembers, and you are proud to have shared with them.
